Hiplife Musician, Pappy Kojo who is currently based in Italy is crying for help as his food is getting finished.
Pappy Kojo who is under self-quarantine is unable to go out in Italy as the country is had hit by COVID-19.
Pappy Kojo wrote on his Facebook Wall, “I’m not safe, I live just across a busy street and people keep using that road every minute which is not safe for me, I’ve been calling out to the government; yet no response. I’m a Ghanaian and I’ve done a lot for this country in terms of creative arts. Sincerely I’m not safe, I have something to feed on now but I’m afraid I might soon run out of food.”
Pappy Kojo born Jason Gaisie grew up in Takoradi and later relocated to Italy to join his parents and siblings.
He came to the music scene in 2014 with his hit track “Realer No” featuring Joey B. He was nominated thrice at the 2015 Ghana Music Awards and won an award for the Hip-Hop Song of the year.
Some of his known tracks are “Ay3 Late”, “2 Raw” (with Edem) and “Deja Vu” with Jiggy.
However, the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Barbara Oteng Gyasi has noted that with the current locked down in Italy they cannot fly Pappy Kojo or any Ghanaian currently in that country back to Ghana.
